Welcome to our Priest-in-Charge The Rev. Bram Kranichfeld!

The Rev. Bram Kranichfeld joined our parish in August 2022 as a transitional deacon before being ordained as a priest in December 2022.


Bram moved to Burlington, Vermont from New York in 2006. He immediately joined the congregation at St. Paul’s Cathedral where he took on various roles, including serving on the vestry. Bram is a lawyer and has worked mostly as a criminal prosecutor. He was a deputy state’s attorney in the Chittenden County State’s Attorney’s Office and more recently served as Chief of the Criminal Division of the Vermont Attorney General’s Office. Bram also served on the Burlington City Council.


In 2017, Bram began formally discerning for ordained ministry. In 2019, he enrolled in seminary at the Montreal Diocesan Theological College where he earned a Master of Divinity in March of 2022. Bram also has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Chicago and a law degree from Cornell Law School.

Bram is married to Erin Kranichfeld, who teaches English at Essex High School. They live in Burlington with their children Henry and Aria, their dog Wally, and their cat Ziggy.
