Online Giving to Support St. Paul’s During COVID-19

Dear People of St. Paul’s Church:

While we are not able to meet in person for the foreseeable future, the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont has provided a way for us to give ONLINE using this webpage. We have also placed a link to this on our homepage.

The diocese will absorb all payment processing fees for gifts to congregations, and so the entire amount of donations given to our parish through this system will be transferred directly to St. Paul’s. Once a month, Rich Sagui, Diocesean Financial Administrator, will issue a check to St. Paul’s for donations given to our parish with a report that lists each donor and the amount given to ensure that our records are accurate.

John and a few others have tested out the system. It is clear how to set up an account, link a credit card or bank account and donate online. You receive an electronic receipt for each donation immediately in your email account.

If you do not feel comfortable donating online, then John Stroup and Sarah Cowan will be regularly checking the mail if you would like to send a check directly to St. Paul’s Church at 6 Park St, Vergennes, VT 05491. However, please remember that it may take a bit of time for your check to be processed. Just let John know if you have any questions about a check or giving in general. (stroupjt0@gmail.com).

We understand completely the uncertainty that we all are facing, so we expect that we are all reevaluating our financial giving, but we ask you to please continue to give to St. Paul’s. John has already written a check to the Vergennes Area Food Shelf for $1000, the total amount that we annually give them. The other charitable organizations that we support are also in need. We also have bills to pay and responsibilities to meet.

Please consider giving to St. Paul's Church ONLINE using this webpage.

Call or email John or Rebecca if you would like to talk about these matters more.

Thank you all so much for your continued support of the mission of St Paul’s Church especially in this great time of need. Together we will continue to worship, educate, and care for one another and our community.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Chauvin, Sr. Warden, (802-578-7312), rebeccahchauvin@gmail.com

John Stroup, Treasurer, (802-870-7055), stroupjt0@gmail.com
