Priest-in-Charge
Part-Time

Job Description
St. Paul’s Vergennes is seeking new leadership to support our congregation in living out our mission to be a “community reflecting and demonstrating God’s compassion and love to all through prayer, education and outreach.” We have embraced the humbling internal work of reflecting on our own role in the world and how we might better spread God’s love and advance justice. We are committed to service in and out of our congregation to build a more compassionate and connected community. The priest we seek will support rich worship service with engaging sermons and support of our music and youth ministries. We do not believe our work starts and ends on Sundays, however – when our worship ends, our service begins. We hope our priest will help us reflect on the work we do so that we can be effective agents of change within the limits of our resources.

We are particularly interested in a priest who can:
-
serve our families and children
-
inspire our members
-
support outreach for social and racial justice
We are willing to consider sharing a full-time position with a nearby congregation.
Vergennes is a thriving, walkable Vermont town and our church attracts members from the surrounding communities. We are located halfway between Burlington and Middlebury, located on waterfalls of the scenic Otter Creek on its way to Lake Champlain.
