Below you will find the educational handout for the presentation entitled “Biblical Support for Full Inclusion in the Church.” In addition to examining the various interpretations of relevant Biblical passages (those that some interpret as condemning homosexuality, as well as those that favor full inclusion), it also includes four appendices:

In addition, you can also access tables that describe the various interpretations of Genesis 19 (Sodom & Gomorrah), the Holiness Code (Leviticus 18 and 20), relevant passages in 1 Corinthians and 1 Timothy, and the critical passage in Romans 1. If you choose to use these materials (especially in an educational setting), it is suggested that you might use the first page of the “Biblical Support” hand-out for background and context, and then use the tables for the rest of the discussion, leaving the remainder of the hand-out for future reference by the participants. The two charts referring to texts from the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) are arranged such that the top row features arguments in favor of that view, and the bottom row features arguments opposed to that view.
